You Got It...

Seems like the Knicks have come to their senses and decided to let the Rockets have point guard Jeremy Lin....well that's the word on the street (street aka sports rumor mill).

Lin, who was released by the Rockets early last year before heading to New York, made a major splash in the Big Apple....And in splash I meant, more in the media and pop culture than on the court. Now the Rockets want him back.

The 23 year old point guard came up big for the Knicks for about a good month when they were without stars, Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire. In his 25 starts Lin averaged 18.2 points, 7.6 assists, and 4.7 turnovers. But everything came to an end when Lin was sidelined due to a meniscus tear in his left knee.

Hey, I must admit, I was on the Lin train..Hard! But I'm a sucker for a rags to riches storyline. Lin was a good player but can we seriously say that he is worth a little over $25 million (three years) after only seeing him play a few games. The story is great and its very marketable but $25 MILLION! C'mon! I'm not the only one that feel like that's a bit steep for an up and coming point guard. Knicks teammate Anthony shared his sentiments on the deal with Rod Boone of Newsday.

"It's not up to me, It's up to the organization to say that they want to match that ridiculous contract."
                                                                                                      -Carmelo Anthony

Tell us how you really feel Carmelo, lol! Dang! The Knicks have until 11:59pm ET Tuesday to match the Rockets offer sheet, but seems as though the Knicks are going to end up telling them, "You go it"

The real question is what is Spike going to do with all that Lin paraphilia?

Venue Nightclub (Houston) may want to start setting up that "Welcome to Houston" party...
I'm just saying!
