Morning Coffee...

UConn Streak Ends:
Everything good must come to an end and that’s what happened to the UConn women last night as Stanford stopped their incredible 90 game winning streak. What an amazing feat for a women’s basketball team, but Stanford were too much for the Huskies last night.
The #8 Stanford Cardinal had a little on the line yesterday too, as they continue their 52 wins at home with their 71-59 victory over the Huskies. I knew that things were about to take a turn for the worst when I turned to the game and the Huskies were down 20-7, I was Ut Oh...all streaks must come to an end at one time and the Cardinals weren’t making it easy.
Another startling fact is that the Cardinals were the last team to beat the Huskies before their streak began. Stanford’s Jeanette Pohlen had a career high 31 points, five 3-pointers. The sensation that is Maya Moore of the Huskies had a really bad showing last night as she forced shots and could never really get a good rhythm. Stanford held her to 14 points (5-15 shooting). Shout out to Houston’s own Ogwumike sisters (Nnemkadi and Chiney), who both attended Houston’s Cy Fair High for their win!!!! I remember seeing them play in high school...Kudos!!!
Tressel's Deal:
Ohio State’s head coach Jim Tressel made his five suspended players (suspended for the first five games of the 2011 season), including star quarterback Terrell Pryor, make a pledge in order to make them eligible to travel with the team for the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
The catch was simple, they must pledge to return for the 2011 season in order to play in the Sugar Bowl, dang, Tressel put them out there with this one because Pryor could easily leave this year. The players have been suspended by the NCAA for selling their championship rings, memorabilia and receiving discounts at a local tattoo parlor in exchange for their autographs. Wow!!! Tressel took a big step with this one.
"We told them they would have to make the decision on the NFL prior to leaving for the bowl game," Tressel said at his first Sugar Bowl news conference. "It wouldn't be fair to not face the consequences down the road."
-Speaking of returning, Heisman candidate and Oregon’s running back LaMichael James (sophomore) has decided to return to Eugene for the 2011 season. With the season he just had it can only get better.
NFL fines Jets 100K:

The Jets are still feeling the trip that strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi put of the Dolphins Nolan Carroll. The NFL has fined the franchise $100,000 after investigating the situation and finding that the trip was planned. Well, Well, Well....I hope Alosi found him a new gig because he has cost this organization money and embarrassment, I’m sure he won’t be welcomed back...Tsk Tsk
-I guess since the NFL is gaining all these duckets from both the Jets ($100K) and Brett Favre ($50K) they could stand to be a little nicer to some. The league reduced fines for three players after appeals, Steelers LB James Harrison’s $75,000 fine on the hit that he put on Mohamed Massaquoi was reduced to $50,000, they also reduced Falcons corner Dunta Robinson’s $50,000 to $25,000 and New England’s corner Brandon Merriweather fine from $50,000 to $40,000 for flagrant hits that they put on defenseless receivers this season. I see someone is in the holiday spirit, lol!!!!
Nick Van Exel's Son:
So sad to report but former NBA player Nick Van Exel’s son has confessed to murder.
Source: USA Today
DALLAS — The 20-year-old son of former NBA player Nick Van Exel has been charged with capital murder in the death of a close friend, Dallas police announced Thursday.
Nickey Maxwell Van Exel was arrested Wednesday night and jailed on $1 million bond in the death of Bradley Bassey Eyo, 23. Police said Eyo was found on Sunday with a gunshot wound to his upper body near Lake Ray Hubbard, on the outskirts of Dallas.
Authorities later determined that Eyo was killed at a home in the Dallas suburb of Garland and that his body was dumped near the lake, police said.
Paul Johnson, the younger Van Exel's attorney, told The Associated Press that his client told police he shot Eyo, a longtime friend and neighbor, while the two were engaged in "horseplay" with a shotgun. He said Van Exel didn't know the gun, which belonged to his stepfather, was loaded.
After the shooting, Van Exel "panicked" and moved the body, Johnson said. Van Exel also tossed the gun in a creek, and it has yet to be found, he said.
"It's a real sad situation," Johnson said. "Emotions are running high, and, obviously, we recognize that some very bad decisions were made on how he responded."
Johnson said he was contacted by Van Exel's family on Tuesday and immediately started working with authorities. The younger Van Exel has not yet appeared in court or entered a plea.
The elder Van Exel played for the Dallas Mavericks from 2001 to 2003 as part of an NBA career that spanned 13 seasons and six teams. He is now working as player development instructor for the Atlanta Hawks, a job he began in September.
A call to the Hawks' media relations department by the AP wasn't returned. In a statement, the team said its thoughts were with the Van Exel family.
Johnson said he spoke to the elder Van Exel and that he and others who knew Eyo were deeply saddened.
"Bradley was like part of the family," Johnson said.

Before the clock strikes midnight tomorrow, I will have a post on New Year's fashion...still working on it, be on the look out for it either today or early tomorrow morning : )

Morning Coffee...

Favre update:
So we are all aware that the NFL fined Vikings quarterback Brett Favre $50,000 (a fifth of this game check...which equals nothing) for the Jenn Sterger situation. The league fined Favre for “failure to cooperate” with the investigation against him for lewd messages and sexual photos to the former Jets employee.
Sterger’s attorney is clearly upset about the ruling because as I reported earlier they wanted him suspended.
"It clearly shows that an NFL star player was given preferential treatment and tells all other players that failure to cooperate may cost you some money but will not result in other punishment," said Joseph Conway, who added there was "ample evidence" the photos were of Favre.
"Additionally, today's decision is an affront to all females and shows once again that, despite tough talk, the NFL remains the good old boys' league," Conway said.
Conway is undecided if Sterger will take legal actions against Favre, the Jets or the NFL. This takes me back to the fact that Sterger never reported what happened originally and it took years for her and her people to speak why is it so important...Please have a seat woman!!! We all know how I feel about Favre and no I am not condoning what he did but we still do not know the facts, so with that being said I believe Favre....end of story.
Wednesday’s NBA action:
I hate that I missed my two favorite teams play and I heard that it was a good one. The Rockets win set a Heat franchise and league record for 10 straight road wins in a calendar month. And my boy Dwyane Wade had a season high 45 points in the Heat’s 125-119 win. Lebron added 20 points and nine assists and Bosh had 21. The Rockets held their own throughout the game but it just wasn’t enough for the Heat, Luis Scola scored 22, Martin had 21 and Brooks, 21 points and nine assists. Man, I hate that I missed this one, but oh well there’s always next time.
Bad news for the Celtics, not only did they lose to the Pistons last night but they lost a major piece in their already injury ridden roster...Kevin Garrett left the game with a right leg injury and his X-rays came back negative for bueno!!!! Garnett had right knee arthroscopy and removal of posterior knee bone spurs in May of 2008, so this knee has a little history...Tsk Tsk. The Celtics came up short against the Pistons in a 104-92 loss. Tracy McGrady scored a season high 21, and eight assists for the Pistons (I know y’all have been looking for him...he has landed in Detroit guys, so y’all can call off the McGrady searches, I found him). Pierce has 33 points, eight assists for the Celtics in the loss.
The Lakers seem to have got it back together. Lamar Kardashian, I mean Odom shined for the Lakers off the bench, becoming the second Lakers player to come off the bench and lead the team in scoring since my bestie, Tierre Brown (Shout out to @GymBrown!) did it in 2005 with 27 points. Odom scored a team high 24 as a reserve and helped his squad take down the New Orleans Hornets 103-88. Chris Paul had 20 points, seven assists for the Hornets.
This game came down to the wire....check out the ending below: Tyreke Evans= BEAST

I really enjoyed myself last night at the Wizards game to see my boys D Jones, TJ and the Pacers play...The Verizon Center is pretty boys came up short though 104-90. Funtimes!!!!
My Tidbits:
-Coach Mike Krzyzewski has moved to second place on the all time wins list, passing up UNC’s Dean Smith after claiming his 880th victory against UNC Greensboro 108-62 last night. Congratulations to a great coach and man!!!!
-Crosby’s points streak has ended at 25 (tear) (tied for 11th in NHL history) for in the Penguins loss to the NY Islanders last night, 2-1

-Shout out to my little cousin Justin Blackmon (ok, I'm not sure if we're cousins or not, but I'm claiming him, lol) who showed out for Oklahoma State in the Alamo Bowl against Arizona last night. He set two records in the Cowboys 36-10 victory. He broke Larry Fitzgerald's (Pittsburgh, 1,672) sophomore receiving yards record with his first catch (1,673). He also accumulated at least 100 receiving yards and at least one touchdown in the last 12 games he has played in. I'm going to be so proud to hear "Blackmon" being called on draft day....You go boy!!!!

Vikings quarterback Brett Favre has been fined $50,000 by the league for a "failure to cooperate" in the Jenn Sterger investigation in regards to the allegations that he sent lewd messages and photos to the former Jets game day hostess (Sterger pictured).

I will keep you updated as the story develops but seriously $50,000...SMH. Thank God they didn't "suspend" him for the last game of his career (in my sarcastic voice). I'm just happy it's over so we can all move on with our lives...Now Sterger you are more than welcome to write a book and get a Lifetime movie, UGH!!!! ***HAVE A SEAT!!!!*** Plus Brett probably makes $50,000 every time that Wrangler commercial runs...moving on

My Shoes of the Day...

Ladies we can't go wrong with comfort and these Tory Burch flats say it all...comfy, classy and it's available in a variety of colors and prints...For example, I have my eye on both the black and leopard print pair at the present moment.

2011 Pro Bowl Selections....

As you can see I skipped over my Morning Coffee today because #1 I'm still upset about yesterday's game and #2 I really don't want to talk about it...But I would like to share that the Lakers got trampled by the Spurs last night 97-82 (hehe) moving on to the 2011 Pro Bowl rosters...

Shout out to my Houston Texans for 3 selections and my Baltimore Ravens with 5 : )

The Sports Fashionista's Job Postings...

After reading an article on in regards to the Houston Texan fans organizing a firing rally, I knew that things were getting real serious. It is being predicted that by season's end there will be 11-12 NFL coaching job openings including Kubiak's time with the Texans. Boys better get to updating their resumes, i.e. Cowher, Gruden and Schottenheimer.

Check out The Sports Fashionista's Job Postings below:

First we will start with the interim positions:

Dallas Cowboys- Jason Garrett
(I will fight Jerry Jones if he tries to cock block on my Cowher to Texans campaign)

Denver Broncos- Eric Studesville
(Kubiak it's all you boo, we all know how you feel about Denver)

Minnesota Vikings-Leslie Frazier
(I pray that Leslie Frazier can keep his job)

San Francisco 49ers-Jim Tomsula
(Just bring Mike Singletary back!)

You're outta here...

Houston Texans-Gary Kubiak
(Hello Bill Cowher!!!)

Cleveland Browns-Eric Mangini
(I'm confident that Mike Holmgren has something real good up his sleeve)

Cincinnati Bengals-Marvin Lewis
(Lewis,  Ochocinco and Owens will be looking for new homes in the offseason)

Carolina Panthers-John Fox
(Fox will work again...real soon)

The hot seat, they may let these guys stay for one more year...

Tennessee Titans- Jeff Fisher
(It's either you or Vince sir!)

San Diego Chargers-Norv Turner
(I like Turner...but this may be the end for him)

Miami Dolphins- Tony Sparano
(Hey John Gruden, this could be you!!!)

New York Giants- Tom Coughlin
(No playoffs, no job boo...they may just keep him though...this one is a toss up)

Please send your applications to and I will be in touch. Thanks!

Morning Coffee...

Just when I was about to count Drew Brees (35-49, 302 yards, TD, 2 INT) out (after the two picks) he bounced back and lead his team into the playoffs. The Falcons played great defense in the Monday night game, but I must say that their offense struggled in their loss...Kudos to the Saints “D” as well. The play that killed them was the fumble by Michael Turner at the 5yd line (which is a rarity for him).
Matt Ryan went into the game 19-1 and his team’s home field advantage (where he feels most comfortable) was on the line. But Brees put the nail in the coffin with his 90 yard drive that resulted in a Jimmy Graham 6 yard TD, to seal their 17-14 victory. Now the Falcons must go into Week 17 with a victory in order to win the division and home field advantage...this is probably a guarantee since they are playing the Carolina Panthers. I’m sure Roddy White will learn to keep his trap closed, because you never know how your comments will be taken and I witnessed an overflow of messages to him on Twitter last night, people were mad.
I still see the Falcons going further than the Saints in the playoffs...I just think that the Falcons have all the pieces, but hey you never know when January rolls around, it could be any man’s game on any given night. But the Falcons need home field advantage more than anybody...19-2 at home is crazy!!!

***Tuesday Night Football Reminder***
Vikings vs. Eagles at 8PM on NBC
While the UConn women’s basketball team are on the road to 90 straight wins the men are trying to hold their own. The #4 UConn men came into their game Monday night against the #6 Pittsburgh Panthers 10-1.
This Big East matchup was highly anticipated but the Panthers came out on top 78-63 to give the Huskies their first loss of the season, and this one really counted since they are now in conference play. This makes them 0-1 in the Big East. UConn’s Kemba Walker has 31 points and 5 steals and Pitt’s Ashton Gibbs scored 21 points, 7 assist to get the victory at home.
Shaq Fined:
Shaquille O'Neal aka "The Big Shamrock" was fined $35,000 by the league on Monday for comments made about the officiating in Boston’s 86-78 loss against the Orlando Magic on Christmas. After fouling out with only 13 minutes of playing time Shaq went off...

"I guess they came out to see No. 26 today," O'Neal said, referring to official No. 26, Bob Delaney. "... He was a great player out there today.
"They [fans] paid all that money to watch No. 26 play. If I was a fan, I would be pissed. You pay all that money for good seats, you have two of the best guys in the [NBA] sitting on the bench, out of the game. That is what happens when you have control freaks out there."
I’‘m sure Dwight Howard feels Shaq’s pain because he was called for five fouls in the game and held to six points, Shaq only scored two in his 13 minutes of play. These leagues are so protective of their refs and I guess that’s understandable but $35K, like seriously...smh!!! He does make a very good point though, the fans come to see the players not the refs, so fall back on the stupid play calling...dude!!!
My Tidbits:

-Tune in...This year’s Pro Bowl team will be announced today at 7PM/E on the NFL Network.
-Air Force topples Georgia Tech to win the Independence Bowl 14-7
-Dirk hurt in 103-93 win over Thunder

I'm So Sad....

They couldn't even let my boy get one last game before they let him rude!!! Mike Singletary is out as the San Francisco 49ers head coach as of today (tear)....defensive line coach Jim Tomsula is in as the interim for the team's FINAL game of the season...SMH!

Singletary came in as an interim in October 2008 after Mike Nolan was let go, then he signed a four year deal the following year for the full time position. I blame Troy Smith, what was so serious that you felt the need to argue with your coach on the sideline in front of the CAMERAS. UGH!!!! Singletary released a statement today

"One of the greatest experiences of my life was having the opportunity to coach the San Francisco 49ers," Singletary said in a statement released by the team. "What made it so special were the players. They were some of the most outstanding men I have ever been around in my life."

Check out their argument's at the 0:22 mark...SMH...Thanks a lot Troy about you respect your elders young man... I am really hurt about this the question is who's next....Gary Kubiak, Norv Turner, Marvin Lewis, Tony Sparano, or Tom Coughlin...someone has to go, if not all...but I don't think Singletary time should have been up so soon, he will bounce back.

My "Game of the Week"

I'm feeling a little under the weather but I couldn't let the day get away without making my pick in my Week 16 "Game of the Week"

New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons

The big battle in the NFC South is finally here...The (12-2) Falcons against the (10-4) Saints. There is a lot on the line in this one, with this win the Falcons will clinch home field advantage on their journey to Dallas, and the Saints are one win away from clinching a playoff berth (wild card).

Shout out to Atlanta for being undefeated at home this season (Their last loss at home was to the Saints last year) and I don't see that stopping tonight. After checking out the Saints against the Ravens last week their pass defense it shaky and I can see Michael Turner having a huge outing tonight. If not that then there's always the Ryan to White combo. But we all know that Brees will get that ball in the right hands at any given time, may it be Colston, Moore, Graham, Shockey, or Henderson...then you never know with Bush and Thomas. I'm not about to wear y'all out with my wordiness, plus I think it's time to pop some Nyquil...I'm rolling with the Red and Black at home...Falcons!

And My Picks Are....

Merry Belated Christmas to all!!! It's Sunday and we all know what that means, it's time for my Week 16 picks. Since my "Game of the Week" is the big NFC South, Monday Night Football match up I'm going to give my breakdown and pick on tomorrow.

Tune in tomorrow....Man I'm excited about this's going to be good and it's the last MNF game of the season (tear)

My remaining Week 16 picks:

Texans vs. Broncos
***Due to an ailing ankle Andre Johnson may not play today, shout out to my fantasy squad going down the drain if he doesn't. Tebow will start and get the win at home***

Ravens vs. Browns
***No smart comments in this matchup because the Browns are the league's haters this season and they gave the Ravens a struggle earlier this season, well Peyton Hillis did...but the Ravens will get the win, last time Hillis was a surprise this time the Raven's "D"will be prepared for him***

Patriots vs. Bills
***Something in me is feeling froggy and I want to pick the Bills...but we are talking about the Pats to be politically correct, I'm going to roll with Brady and the little guys...but dang I want them to lose...UGH!!!***

Jets vs. Bears
***This is a good one and it will test the questionable Jets squad...honestly I'm still questioning the Bears, but oh well, they have already clinched a playoff spot..the Jets need this's a toss up..I'm taking the Jets***

Titans vs. Chiefs
***The Chiefs really need this win, and the Titans should be preparing for the draft since their season is dunzo...but they won't give up that won't be easy but the Chiefs got this one***

49ers vs. Rams
***I like Bradford and I want the Rams to represent the sorry NFC West since they are the best team in the division, in my opinion***

Lions vs. Dolphins
***My upset pick of the week...I'm taking the Lions***

Redskins vs. Jaguars
***Who's under center for the Redskins today, oh ok.. Jags got this one (This is a rhetorical question, I know that Grossman is starting)***

Chargers vs. Bengals
***No TO, Chad is hurt and Palmer is an interception machine...Chargers!!!***

Colts vs. Raiders
***Don't judge me but this is my honorable mention "Game of the Week", this is a big one for both squads...We all know how I feel about the Raiders and they're at home in this one...Hmmmmm ***thinking*** Something in me wants to roll with Raider Nation but we are talking about Peyton Manning here...he won't and can't let his team down***

Giants vs. Packers
***This is another good game and the Giants need to make up for last week's meltdown against the Eagles...but not this week, I'm taking the Packers***

Seahawks vs. Bucs
***Seattle sucks...I'm taking the Bucs***

Vikings vs. Eagles

Morning Coffee...Christmas Game Recaps

Geez Louise!!!! There was some good NBA action yesterday....but most of all the HEAT beat the LAKERS...Woot Woot!!!! And seriously what was up with the shoes yesterday ***side-eye***

New York Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls

Dang, when I made this prediction it was really a toss up, and after reporting that Noah wasn't playing I totally did not consider it while making my final pick. The Knicks came out in their green and played with greed as Stoudemire and Felton scored 20 each and lifted their team to a 103-95 victory. The other half of the Knicks cast, Gallinari and Chandler added 15 each. The Bulls' Boozer lead his team with 26 points and 16 rebounds, and Rose balled out of control with 25 points, 8 assist, and 7 rebounds...but it wasn't enough, the Knicks took the win at home.

Orlando Magic vs. Boston Celtics

This game was definitely the surprise of the day...maybe Otis Smith's moves last week weren't as bad as I thought because the new Magic gelled together to hand the Celtics their first loss in weeks. They also ended their 14 game winning streak, but hey it was bound to happen with the injury plagued team. This makes two streaks ended by the Magic in two straight games, the Spurs (10 straight) were their victim Wednesday night.

It was a great game of back and forth, but the Magic casted a spell and took the win at home 86-78. But who would have thought that the best player on the Magic side would have been Brandon Bass (21 points), I haven't heard from dude since Dallas, I'm just saying. Please make a side note that Dwight Howard only had ONE field goal in the win.

My boy Kevin Garnett had 22 for the Celtics and Pierce added 18. I think the injuries are finally getting to them and they're going to have to get Rondo and Perkins back on the court in order to fully compete in the Eastern Conference. Because as displayed yesterday in the Eastern Conference it is anyone's game on any given night.

Miami Heat vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Oh yeah my predictions may have been shaky in the first two games, but this one counted the most and I was dead on. Can we say TRIPLE DOUBLE at Staples and it wasn't by Kobe!!!!! Lebron James (27 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) and his Heat squad came into Kobe's house and showed out and made a major statement. James' compadres Bosh (24 points, 13 rebounds) and Wade-sore knee (18 points) stepped up to the plate as well. Shout out to Bosh, I may call him names, by my after thought stepped it up yesterday.

Kobe needs to do us all a favor and let those shoes see the trash asap, not only were they not pleasing to the eyes, but they did not help him not one bit. He had 17 points and 6 rebounds in their 96-80 loss, Mr. Kardashian (Lamar Odom) added 14 and Gasol had 17. I'm glad someone finally exposed the Lakers since they been gliding through their easy schedule, but all that came to a complete stop yesterday...which put a smile on my face : ) ***Thanks Santa*** Oh and I can't go without saying that the Heat is 14-1 in their last 15 games...Hello!!!!

***Check out my boy Bosh below***

Kevin Durant (44 points, 7 rebounds) and his Thunder squad handed the Carmelo-less (death in family) Nuggets a 114-106 loss.

Monte Ellis scored 39 for the Warriors to help to topple the Trailblazers 109-102

The Cowboys fell 27-26 to the Cardinals, after their kicker, David Buehler missed the extra point (wide left). Shout out to Stephen McGee, I like the young guy!

And My Picks Are....Christmas NBA/NFL Edition

Nothing says the holidays say family, food and SPORTS....All gifts should be opened by now and you should be preparing to head to your grandma's house for Christmas dinner....DON'T BE LATE...but first check out my game picks of the day. We have some great NBA match ups today...let's just say one of my favorite teams will be playing against one of my least favorite (wink wink)....oh and we have one NFL match up (I'm still trying to figure out who is scheduling these weak games...oh and wait until I find out...TROUBLE, TROUBLE<------ in my Bernie Mac voice).

(18-9) Chicago Bulls vs. (17-12) New York Knicks
11 AM on ESPN

In the early 90s this matchup was everything...Jordan, Pippen, Armstrong, Ewing, Starks, Oakley...but now the rivalry is back, with the free agent transitions during the offseason....The Bulls, who were already a great squad are back with Derrick Rose running point, and the newest Bull, Carlos Boozer. I saw the Bulls play earlier this year and they looked good, and this was when Boozer who was out with a right hand injury. But now Joakim Noah is sidelined (thumb surgery), which can hinder the Bulls chances against the new look Knicks.

The Knicks have bought the faith back to NYC, as they recently went on a 8 game winning streak. Amare Stoudemire is playing at the top of his game this season, potential MVP status, and I don't know who this Raymond Felton guy is (sarcasm) but he is ballin. Defense will be the underlining issue in this matchup...guys are going to have to step up on defense big time for guys like Rose, Deng, Boozer, Stoudemire, and Felton. I'm taking the Bulls in this one.

(23-4) Boston Celtics vs. (17-12) Orlando Magic
1:30 PM on ABC

I am still bitter with the Magic for giving up my boy Rashard Lewis and I'm still not sold on Magic GM Otis Smith's recent moves. But hey who am I to judge because clearly something is going right they went in and stopped the Spurs little streak (I have a strong dislike for the Spurs, just thought I should share that...we're friends right?) Ok, let me continue, the Magic has a new squad with the additions of Arenas, Richardson, and Hedo Turkoglu. But my question is, can this new team match up against Eastern Conference powerhouse, Boston Celtics...this has to be the only reason to make moves of this caliber, in order to matchup better against the "Big Three Four Five" <---- however you want to put it.

The Celtics are the one of the top teams to beat in the NBA, they are currently on a 14 game winning streak and that's with important injuries in their team foundation. Rondo, West and Perkins will sit out against the Magic but the O'Neals (Shaq and Jermaine) will be active...oh and let's not forget Garnett, Pierce and Allen...Unless the Magic has some special powers that I don't know about they will not win this one...Superman can only do so much.

The most anticipated game of the any sport...yeah I said it...

(22-9) Miami Heat vs. (21-8) Los Angeles Lakers
4PM on ABC

This game could be the NBA Championship, but I don't even want to go there right now...let's focus on the matter at hand. I don't know what I'm more excited about, the Kobe vs. Lebron drama or the game itself......The Lakers has had one of the league's easiest schedules on their trail to 21-8, so I'm really side eyeing them right now, lol!!! Only problem that I see for the Heat is their big man presence and who will they elect to handle Gasol and Bynum because my "After thought" aka Chris Bosh and ole skool Erick Dampier just isn't enough for me. This will be the deciding factor in this game, the Heat must keep Gasol quiet.

This will be an awesome matchup and I can go on and on, but I will leave you with one thought...this one won't be easy for the "Fakers", I'm taking the Heat by 10 and Lebron will have a big showing...not taking anything away from Kobe because we already know what he bringing to the table, but I'm going with the Heat.

***SIDENOTE: Wade may miss the game with a sore knee, but I doubt it really seriously***

Remaining games on the NBA schedule:

(16-11) Denver Nuggets vs. (20-10) Oklahoma Thunder
7PM on ESPN

(15-14) Portland Trailblazers vs. (10-18) Golden State Warriors
9:30PM on ESPN

As much as I love football, they could have really saved me with this game....WHY!!!!!!!!!

(5-9) Dallas Cowboys vs. (4-10) Arizona Cardinals
6:30PM on NFL Network

Let me just pick a winner so we can move on with our lives and head to the kitchen for plate #2.

Have a Merry Christmas Everyone and God Bless : )

But to each is own....who am I to judge

Morning Coffee...UPDATED!!!!

This is a really slow news day...hmmmmm
Nothing in Life Is Free:

****After careful investigation the NCAA has ruled that five Ohio State football players, including QB Terrelle Pryor will have to sit out the first five games of next season for receiving improper benefits. The sixth player, Jordan Whiting, will only sit out the first game of 2011. All players are eligible to play in the Sugar Bowl..Whew!!!!....And Pryor, why lie boo...everything done in the dark comes to light....SMH....The players include Terrelle Pryor, Mike Adams, Daniel Herron, Devier Posey, and Soloman Thomas....I would like to make a note that this is for violations aside from the tattoo situation. The guys were caught selling their gear, awards, rings, and gifts...SMDH***

Some Ohio State football player are currently under investigations for allegations that they traded autographs for tattoos. This comes on the hem of the university’s Sugar Bowl game in two weeks against Arkansas. If the findings are correct, this is definitely a NCAA violation and could possibly lead to suspensions...UGH!!!
Quarterback Terrelle Pryor quickly tweeted to keep his name in the clear. He posted: "I paid for my tattoos. GoBucks"
Let the kids live, geez!!!! But honestly nothing in life is free, I just hope that his doesn’t cost them one the biggest game of their college career...SMH!!!
MAACO Bowl:
The Broncos of #10 Boise State (12-1) put a spanking on the #19 Utah Utes (10-3) in the MAACO Bowl, Wednesday night. I guess Boise State had to work with what they had, and that was a mediocre bowl game vs a possible BCS game (Rose Bowl) that they missed because of their regular season loss to Nevada (Shout out to their kicker Kyle Brotzman, lol!)
It was reported that the school lost $8 million in revenue due to the Nevada loss, crazy huh? Either way, they made up for it in their big 26-3 win and they will be back to their BCS busting antics next season.
Brown Deuces:
Legendary NBA coach Larry Brown, 70, steps away from his post as the Charlotte Bobcats head coach. He will be replaced by former Hornets coach Paul Silas (interim).
Team owner Michael Jordan met with Brown before the departure.
"I met with Coach Brown two weeks ago about the team's performance and what we could do to improve it," Jordan said. "We met again this morning after practice. The team has clearly not lived up to either of our expectations and we both agreed that a change was necessary."
The Hall of Fame coach was upset with his team as a whole and felt that stepping down was the best decision, but his isn’t the end of his coaching career. His agent, Joe Glass,  states:
"Larry is going to coach again," Glass said. "He's got plenty of strength and energy."
Brown spent three years with Charlotte (88-108) in his 13 year coaching career and he took the Bobcats to their first playoff appearance last season. Brown is one tough cookie, and if he isn’t satisfied with something he is going to speak up...i.e. Allen Iverson. He will definitely bounce back, he always does. I think Silas is a good pick up for the Bobcats who are only 2 1/2 games behind in the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Silas is a great coach who demands respect and he is a players coach, this may work to his advantage.
Still Streaking....
My guy Sidney Crosby is still streaking in the Penguins 5-2 win over the Panthers. This makes 22 straight games in Crosby’s scoring streak. His current streak is the second longest in NHL history in 18 years. He is what you would call a different bred, he is great at what he does...Kudos to Crosby, keep is going!!!

Sidney isn’t the only one STREAKING!!! The Boston Celtics just hit their 14th straight win with a 84-80 victory in Philly over the 76ers. Let’s make a quick note that Rajan Rondo hasn’t been apart of six of these wins...the stacked up Celtics have been handling the competition without their all star point guard.
Oh and add Delonte West (out 12 games), Shaquille O’Neal has sat out four, Jermaine O’Neal (out 14 games), and Kendrick Perkins hasn’t played all season. But the guys have been working with what they have...and it is working!!! In their win over the 76ers, Ray Allen lead the team with 22 points, Shaq had 13 and Pierce added 11. Brand had a good showing for the 76ers with 16 points and 12 rebounds. The Celtics will attempt to make it 17 straight as they hit the road to face, Orlando, Indiana and Detroit.
